Employee Spotlight with Kevin Haldane

What is your role at Neosource, and how long have you been in the industry?

KH: This month, I have become the Operations Team Lead; I have been working here since July 2011 in sales, customer service, and marketing.

What is your favourite part of working in the dental industry?

KH: Everybody loves a smile. I enjoy knowing that I am helping dental professionals help Canadian smile in a small way!

What trends are you seeing in infection control?

KH: Infection control has been a hot button issue, especially in the last two-plus years! I have seen a massive investment in time and resources from the dental community to ensure they are compliant and have the maximum traceability. At Neosource, we are looking for ways to help dental professionals streamline these processes and make them more efficient!

How does your handpiece repair program work? Why is it different from others in the industry?

KH: What we have done with our handpiece repair program is trying to make it as simple as possible, so from scheduling pickup and delivery, upfront prices wherever possible, a turnaround guarantee and 1-year warranty on a wide range of different models of handpieces, what I think we have done is made the process of getting a handpiece repaired simpler!

Recently, new warehouses have been open in Edmonton and Toronto; what does that mean for your clients?

KH: It means they can have the products they order quicker!

Neosource offers Virta face masks made in Canada; how is that an advantage to your clients?

KH: It means that we can ensure we are using quality, comfortable, and sustainable materials for the masks to get a great product that supports a Canadian family-owned business!

How does the process work when a client uses Neosource’s customer portal on the website?

KH: The customer portal was set up so our clients could have a curated list of the products they want to order right at their fingertips. Once we have a list of the products they want, we enter it and then they can log in and place an order look at past invoices, cases, returns and statements!

Lastly, what do you like to do for fun when you are not working?

KH: I enjoy playing the guitar, albeit badly and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy smoking/grilling food accompanied by a nice bourbon. Southern BBQ is a particular favourite!
